Alta Badia – Experience guide

A lot can happen in a year. Seasons are made up of highlights, recurring formats, smaller moments in between and experiences that only reveal their full meaning in relation to each other. This is exactly where the task began: to create a brochure that navigates through the diversity of the year.

Completeness alone does not create orientation. Only when major events, recurring formats and smaller offers are brought into a shared system does something emerge that can truly be read and understood. The A, B and C event structure was therefore not only a way of categorizing, but also a tool to make differences visible without losing the overall coherence.

The changing color system guides through months and weeks, while the consistent structure carries the level of information. Once the logic is understood, it becomes almost intuitive to navigate. In the first part, the content is condensed into a quick overview, while in the second part it unfolds into a complete flow of information. This creates a movement between overview and detail, between quick orientation and more precise planning.

It becomes most interesting where information needs to be concrete. For example in hiking formats, with details such as elevation gain, routes or meeting points. Formats like “Nos Ladins” shift the focus away from the calendar and toward the region itself, to people, contexts and a perspective that is closer to everyday life. The brochure becomes a tool that makes a stay plannable and the region readable.
