Viertel Bier is the connecting element within the wider Viertel world, carrying a way of life that reaches far beyond the product itself. In the name and later on the labels, the Viertel becomes visible as a place of community, communication, culture, and everyday life. That exact idea shapes the design of the bottles and turns the labels into the true storytellers of the brand.

From the very beginning, Viertel Bier was meant to play a special role. As the element linking the different businesses, it had to hold within it a sense of community, belonging, and daily life in the Viertel. The labels therefore faced the challenge of being more than simple product identifiers. They had to translate a layered idea of neighborhood and culture into a concise form.

Our approach was to make the beer, through its labels, a carrier of stories. Each variety was given its own theme, telling a fragment of life in the Viertel. The labels speak of encounters and shared time in a wide range of situations. Together, they form a series that does more than simply claim community, communication, interaction, and culture; it makes them visible and tangible.

The labels translate the brand philosophy of Viertel Bier into a series of playful, atmospheric illustrations. Each variety represents a different aspect of the Viertel way of life and becomes individually legible through its theme, color, and imagery. In 2022, the concept was honored with the Best Label Award and the prize for Best Brand Philosophy at the international Solobirra Contest.
