Within the Viertel world, Putzer is the place that lies farthest away geographically, and for that very reason needed its own form of belonging. In Schabs, the house brings together hospitality, a brewing base, and accommodation under one roof. It stands on its own, while at the same time remaining part of a larger whole.
At Putzer, a subtle balance had to be found between independence and belonging. The house needed to keep its own architectural and atmospheric character, while still remaining recognizably part of the broader Viertel structure. From this came the task of creating a precise connection through design.
At the center was the idea of establishing that connection not through bold branding gestures, but through a typographic gesture.
The choice fell on a technical typeface whose character recalls steel beams, weld seams, and structural precision. In this way, Putzer was brought formally closer to both its own architectural language and to the wider Viertel world.
