Botique Hotel Badhaus

With Badhaus, a house emerged that transforms a difficult spatial situation into an exceptional architectural quality. Set between historic buildings, in a narrow gap and above a now-disused irrigation channel, the building responds with verticality, precision, and a strong atmospheric presence.

Badhaus is not a building that can be explained in simple terms. The particular condition of the narrow gap, the height of the house, and its architectural complexity called for a design that could take in these qualities without simplifying them. The aim was to develop a visual identity that would not simply accompany the architecture, but grow out of it.

The architectural logic of the building was translated directly into the design. The narrow, vertical figure of the house became the impulse for the logo, while light, materiality, and façade structure helped shape the visual language.

The result is a visual identity that responds directly to the architecture in line, proportion, and color. The color palette, too, is derived from the building itself: anthracite from the open staircase, exposed concrete from the rooms, copper from the lighting and water installations, along with carefully chosen contrasting tones.
